These butterfly wing creations are extremely light weight and feature two differnt species facing forward. There is a forewing from one species and a swallowtail wing from another showcaseing red, black and grey. I love that the red shapes in the swallow tails suggest hearts. The wings are secured between clear single-use plastic, cut from single-use food containers, of purchased food products, which have been washed and sterilized (see image 9). Re-Use & reduce my friends. Buy thisit.me wearable nature art!

Hanging from the bottom of each wing is a jet black glass bead (salvaged from a thrift store find). These earrings measure approx. 1+1/4”W and 3-1/8”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The hooks are shaped and cut from black colored craft wire and measure approx. 7/8” long (to evoke butterfly legs/antennae).

NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. CARDBOARD MODELS ARE LIFE SIZED.
