These butterfly wing earrings are SUPER light weight and feature a glowing “cat eye” shape on a field of rich browns in the forewing of this species. There is a wonderful lavender along the fluted edges (detail image 5).

These wings are glued between clear single-use plastic, cut from single-use plastic food containers, of purchased food products, which have been washed and sterilized (see image 10). Re-Use & reduce my friends. Buy thisit.me wearable nature art!

The wings hang from a large white, egg shaped, fresh water pearl, which measures approx. 3/8”W x 1/2”T. Full earrings measure approx. 1”W and 2+1/8”T from top of hook to bottom of wings. The hooks (image 8) are shaped and cut from a shiny black colored craft wire and measure approx. 1+1/6” long (to evoke butterfly legs/antennae).

NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. CARDBOARD MODELS ARE LIFE SIZED.
