My insect wing earrings are super light weight! Real butterfly wings are set between (clever reuse) of single-use plastics (image 9). This pair features the forewing of the same species, but from different butterflies. Colors range: iridescent blue, charcoal, specs of white along the fluted edge on the front facing side. The back side of the wings are for camouflage and are a pattern of subtle browns with 3 “eyes”.
The accent dangles at the bottom are two shades of blue, faceted crystals and a fresh water pearl, ea. approx. 1/2” in diameter. Buy thisit.me wearable nature art and rock the world! The backs are featured in image 3. Overall earring dimensions approx. 1+1/2”W and 3+1/4”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The hooks are shaped and cut from antique copper colored craft wire and measure approx. 1” long to evoke butterfly legs/antennae (image 5).
NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. CARDBOARD MODELS ARE LIFE SIZED.
