My insect wing earrings are super light weight! Real butterfly wings are set between (clever reuse) of single-use plastics (image 9). This pair features the forewings of a single species. One side shows the coloring on the front of the wing and the other earring shows the coloring on the back side of the wing. Colors range: iridescence of near black, sepia, cream, gray green blue, white and camel.

Overall earring dimensions approx. 7/8”W and 3”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The hooks are shaped and cut from antique copper colored craft wire and measure approx. 7/8” long to evoke butterfly legs/antennae (image 5).

NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. CARDBOARD MODELS ARE LIFE SIZED.
