Listen 2 your Heart

Listen 2 your Heart
I found the larger piece of drift would along the shore in Navarre Beach Florida. There was already a hole in it (see Detail 7+8). I have had it for several years. Where did it wash up from? How long was it at sea? Was it a piece of an ancient seafaring vessel? Mysterious, to be sure. In the recent past, I found the heart shaped piece of wood (see Details 4+11) along my neighborhood's sidewalks. The colors of the two are very similar and I was inspired to make this piece. I have used Craft wire, a found cardinal's feather, beautiful red-orange glass beads and there is a bit of red acrylic paint to accent the heart shaped piece of wood. This measure approx. 2+1/4"W x 12" T-from top of hook to bottom of fringe. (which are the snake-like seed pods from the invasive vineing plant common name “Cats Claw”). Can be hung inside or outside in the weather.
