I love pressing Flora! These are collected from strolls around the neighborhood throughout the span of about a year (SHHhh...don't tell. Just a little here and there). I have sandwiched them in between boxing tape (which I find preserves the colors well!) I embroidered some Kudzu pods to frame the piece, using the blanket stitch pattern and waxed cord. There is a heart locket (which I found along the way crossing a street) and an unknown seed pod too(?). At bottom is a cypress tree cone as well as a lovely fringe of Kudzu pod ends. Back of the piece is featured in details 8, 9, and 10. Made to hang inside only......."would you be my..."
